Tafseer of The Heights · Al-A'raaf · 7:98

أَوَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتِيَهُم بَأْسُنَا ضُحًۭى وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ

Or did the people of the cities feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they were at play?

أَوَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَى أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا ضُحًى وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ (Of voelden de bewoners der steden zich er veilig voor dat Onze geweldige kracht hen zou overvallen op de voormiddag, terwijl zij aan het spelen waren?) (7:98)
